Innovation & Bespoke Packaging
As the requirements of the Fresh Produce industry change the products that Produce Packaging offers its customers have also had to change.

As part of the service on offer Produce Packaging can source most products from own print Labels, Boxes, Bags and Films to brand new concept ideas from a number of existing and potential suppliers. On occasions this has meant the commissioning of completely new bespoke tooling to enable our customers requirements to become a reality.

Why not contact us for any development ideas you have to see if we can help you, as we have done with the following customers:

Marks and Spencers Papaya and Mango Liners:

As a major supplier of fruit tray liners in the UK, Produce Packaging were approached by Utopia UK Ltd to develop a 6 cavity liner for Marks and Spencer Papaya and Mango.

All areas of the project were managed by Produce Packaging from the design of the product to the tendering of manufacturers for the production.

Tesco Point of sale crate liners:

“Norman Collett Ltd, as one of the UK’s leading marketing companies of British Fruit were approached by Tesco to add a point of sale medium to their plastic returnable Fruit Trays. Since the introduction of returnable trays it was felt that there were few opportunities to promote the produce inside. As one of our Key suppliers we approached Produce Packaging to provide us with a solution. Produce Packaging not only sourced a manufacturer but worked closely with us to ensure that the final design met every specification, with the main objective being to promote British Fruit”.

Ashley Bernhard, Director Norman Collett Ltd

Potato Bio degradable Punnets and trays:

Produce Packaging have been working with Potatopak Ltd to develop a range of trays and Punnets that are suitable for the Fresh Produce Industry. The point of difference with Potatopaks products are that they are manufactured from Potato starch. The products are available in a variety of colours and models and will completely bio degrade within a period of approximately 2 weeks to 2 months, (depending on composting conditions), leaving only natural mineral traces in their passing.
